Materials: None

Instructions

Demonstrate how to make a rock, paper, and scissors with your body:

Hierarchy of choices: Rock smashes scissors, paper covers rock, scissors cuts paper.

Game Play:

Students jump three times saying one word with each jump: “Rock!” “Paper!” “Scissors!”

On the fourth jump, students decide and land as either a rock, paper, or scissors.

The loser does a fun “penalty” activity decided on by the group. For example, dance like a chicken or run to touch a wall and back.

Tips

The facilitator can play with everyone to encourage participation.

Jumping higher than one’s partner gives you time to see their choice and react accordingly.
